The Inverted Torch
The 2011 A Run Through History Commemorative Pieces are individually hand-pressed in bronze or silver by local artist Gerald Haessig of Gerald Haessig Designs. This year’s design, the upside-down torch, is a common funerary symbol for death and can be found on many historic tombs.
