Join us for Save Our Cemeteries’ final lecture of our 2015 series, “Taken to the Grave: Lesser Known Tombs in the St. Louis Cemeteries” a lecture by Sally Asher, on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 6:30 pm.
Sally Asher is a skilled researcher and gifted fine-arts photographer. Her work has appeared in many local, national, and international media outlets, including, but not limited to Newsweek, U.S. World News, and New Orleans Magazine. She has been the public relations photographer for Tulane University since 2008.
Ms. Asher is blessed with a natural talent for writing which has been honed to perfection through her studies at Loyola and Tulane Universities. She graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University with a degree in English and received the Department of English award of Excellence in Writing. In 2011, she graduated summa cum laude from Tulane University with a Masters in English. She is the author of numerous publications, including her recent book, “Hope and New Orleans: a History of Crescent City Street Names”, published in 2014.
Ms. Asher will also have a book signing for her just released book, “Stories from the St. Louis Cemeteries of New Orleans” immediately following her lecture. The event is free and open to the public.
