Do you schedule after hours tours?

We do not do after hours tours. Cemeteries in New Orleans typically close around 3 pm each day and no tours are allowed after the cemeteries close. Our last tour of the day is at 1 pm (for St. Louis Cemetery No. 1) Monday-Saturday.

How much do your tours cost? Do you need a reservation?

Unless otherwise noted, the prices listed below are for our regular/daily tours of St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, St. Louis Cemetery No. 2, and Lafayette Cemetery No. 1. Special tours, themed tours and group tours may have their own individual pricing and restrictions. We highly recommend that you book your tour online, in order to guarantee your reservation. Tour bookings made online will receive a reduced rate.

Bookings Online: The price to reserve a space on a regular tour of St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 & No. 2 is $20.00* per person (ages 12+). Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 tour reservations can be made at a cost of $15.00* per person (ages 12+). *-an additional small service fee will apply. Additional discounts, (such as promo codes) can only be redeemed online.
**Reservations online must be made at least 2 hours prior to the tour.

Bookings By Phone: If your reservation is made at least 12 hours in advance, you will be given the online discounted rate. Reservations made by phone less than 12 hours before the tour will be charged the “walk-up” price, and the additional service fee.

Walk-ups: Individuals who have not booked a tour through our website or phone will be charged $25.00 per person (ages 12+) to tour St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 & No. 2. Tours of Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 will be at a cost of $20.00 per person (ages 12+). Walk-up prices are Cash Only.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

To reschedule your tour booking, please click on the link provided in your confirmation email.

Customers who cancel their tour at least 24 hours in advance will receive a full refund. If cancellations are made under 24 hours there is no refund. If Save Our Cemeteries cancels a tour SOC will provide a full refund or offer the customer the opportunity to reschedule for another day/time. If you need to cancel your tour for any reason, you can call 504-525-3377 or email soc@saveourcemeteries.org.

PLEASE NOTE: Although SOC conducts tours 7 days per week, our office is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and all major holidays. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm CT, Monday through Friday.

Can I buy the ticket before the tour starts in person from the tour-guide?

You can buy a ticket from the tour-guide before the tour starts, it is cash only. But since there is limited room on our tours (the tour size is set by a city ordinance) you will take the chance that the tour has already been booked to capacity. Tours can fill up quickly. It is highly recommended that you book your tour online in advance to guarantee you a spot on our tours.

If I buy a ticket online and I can not print it what do I do?

When you purchase tickets online you will receive an email confirmation which you can printout. It is not necessary to have a paper copy to show your tour-guide to take the tour. Our tour-guides will have a list of people booked for their tour, so your name (or whomever booked your tour) will be listed on their manifest along with the number of people booked in your group.
