The 16th Annual A Run Through History, a 1-mile and 5K run/walk benefiting Save Our Cemeteries, will be on Sunday, April 17th, 2016 in Metairie Cemetery. Registration is underway, so register today to guarantee a t-shirt and spot in the pack.
The 1-mile and 5K courses lace through historic Metairie Cemetery, one of the most famous & historic cemeteries of the South. Established in 1872, the area was previously Metairie horse racetrack and is now a national landmark. The cemetery offers a picturesque tour of Louisiana’s history that includes the resting places of many past governors, mayors, military leaders and prominent men & women of the business, cultural, political and social life of New Orleans.

Exclusive: “Tombs by Twilight” Tour
Save Our Cemeteries has partnered with the Archdiocese of New Orleans Catholic Cemeteries to provide you with a unique tour of St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 at dusk. This special cemetery tour is EXCLUSIVE ONLY to Save Our Cemeteries, no other tour company has been granted access to the cemetery after normal cemetery hours. Tour is only available to persons 21 years of age and older. This exclusive evening cemetery tour is held on the fourth Saturday of each month. Price: $45/person.
