2007 Run Through History Commemorative Pieces:
The fleur de lis and broken column design is based on a monument by the popular tomb designer, Albert Weiblen, who produced the largest percentage of memorial work in historic Metairie Cemetery. The fluted column, a common funerary symbol commemorating a life cut short, is paired with the symbol of New Orleans, a fleur de lis. These pieces pay tribute to both our unique city and historic Metairie Cemetery. Hand crafted in pure silver by local artist Gerald Haessig of Gerald Haessig Designs and available as a tie tack, small pendant, large pendant or keychain.
