Join us for a Culinary Cemetery Tour!

On Sunday, August 25, join us for a Culinary Tour of Metairie Cemetery and St. Louis No. 3, followed by a cooking demo and lunch at the New Orleans School of Cooking, recently rated as the #2 experience in the United States by TripAdvisor. We will meet at Metairie Cemetery at 9 am before boarding the bus for a guided tour. 

Stand before some of the most famous above-ground tombs in two of our historic Cities of the Dead and hear the stories of renowned New Orleans chefs and restauranteurs, including Antoine, Brennan, Broussard, Arnaud, Brocato, Prudhomme and Copeland.

 

A Day in Three Courses

First Course
9:00 AM           Check-in at Metairie Cemetery

9:15 AM           Board the Bus

9:30-11 AM     Tour Metairie Cemetery with guide Glen Schiro (1:30 minutes)

15-minute restroom break

Second Course

11:15 AM          Bus heads to St. Louis Cemetery No. 3

11:30  AM         Bus arrives St. Louis No. 3.
                         Guests disembark and gather into 4 groups for a walking tour

11:45-1:15 AM   Walking tour of St. Louis No. 3 (1:30 minutes)

Third Course

1:30 PM          Re-board bus and head to New Orleans School of Cooking

2:00 PM          Cooking demo and lunch
                      • 2-hour private Demonstration of soup, entree, and dessert
                      • 3-course meal 
                                      Chicken & Andouille Sausage Gumbo
                                      Crawfish Etoufee
                                      Mini Pecan Pies, Pralines

 4:00 PM         Board the bus back to Metairie Cemetery
